Saisieni Verin Hakatain-haan,

This is notification that I have been empowered by your wife, Nicole Hakatain, as official Legal Counsel to begin the annulment of your marriage. Relevant papers have been filed with the Kaalakiota corporate courts and House of Records citing irreconcilable differences by your spouse as primary reasons.

As no claims have been made regarding the division of assets, this process should proceed efficiently in due course.

With regards,

Veikitamo Gesakaarin
Legal counsel for Nicole Hakatain

If you had asked me five years ago what my emotion might be when this day came,  I would never have guessed that it might be relief.

Save. End.

Journal: YC116.03.10

You certainly can't fault Saede's enthusiasm and vision. But...

There's a thought I've never put it into words before but I think it needs writing down now, and it goes something like this:

"If I think I can do something amazing and new, I must first ask myself - why has nobody else done it before me?"

Megacorporations love profit. And if the profitable venture in question were something hugely lucrative like, say, practical, affordable, universal cloning, then I'd bet a crate of the finest Wiyrk Haklen that if it could be done profitably, then one of the big biotech corps like Genolution, Poteque or Zainou would have figured out how by now.

That's not to say it's impossible for us to pioneer something truly new, of course. It could genuinely be that Saede's thought of something that simply never occurred to any of the thousands of cloning, microcybernetic and neuroscientific experts on Zainou's payroll.

But I wouldn't bet on it.

Save. End.
